IVA is forward thinking, not just in terms of product and trends but also in terms of sustainable development. As a chemical manufacturer, managing the health outcomes, safety concerns, and environmental footprint raised by our work is a critical and constant challenge in the industry.
We maintain a global waste management program to exchange regional best practices. Some of our successes which led to significant reduction in emissions are: Closed recirculation circuits, the collection of recyclable wastes, having non-recyclable waste treated by qualified partners, and the installation and operation of a Volatile Organic Content burner. Because we began a consistent effort towards this goal years ago, we have obtained tangible results. Water & Energy consumption are significantly lower year over year thanks to the continuous improvement of our waste management tools and processes.
Health and Safety
Every IVA site has an Environment and Safety Committee in place to study, review, and approve practical solutions. Because safety is a priority for us, we display our safety performance to our employees. Ensuring good working conditions and managing risk to our employees are daily concerns and across the company, all of our employees are trained in the implementation of emergency plans tailored to mitigate and overcome potential risks.
RoHS and REACH
Our Research & Development and Health, Safety, & Environment departments work hand in hand to develop new solutions with lesser impact on the environment. Our sites are fully compliant with RoHs (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances) EU legislation and their counterparts in other regions of the world.
